This weekend I finished version 3 of my Catan frame. The problem with version 2 was that the cuts were off by exactly 2 millimeters, so the two sides would not close together inwards. This new one was cut with more exacting precision, and it folds nicely.

i LOVE this. you did a fantastic job!
we’ve been discussing building a structural set out of polymer clay- something with sculpted mountains and rivers and everything as the resources, then filled in with clear epoxy resin to level it off for each hex. i think this will be a retirement project, though.

Probably somewhere between 10-15 hours of work. Over the course of a month. Feels great to see it completed.
